Learning to rest without guilt
Rest is not a reward for finishing. It is part of how we were made.
Many of us treat rest as something to be earned, so we only allow it once everything is done. Since everything is never done, we do not rest, we simply collapse.
Sabbath was given before anyone had a backlog. It was built into the week as a rhythm, not offered as a prize. Stopping is a way of saying that the world holds together without me, which is both humbling and a relief.
Try one honest hour. No catching up, no productive hobby. See what your soul does when you stop asking it to perform.
