What grace looks like on ordinary days
Grace is not only for the dramatic failures. Most of us need it on a Tuesday.
We tend to reserve the word grace for the big moments. The rescue. The turning point. The story someone tells on a stage. But the grace that actually holds a life together is much smaller and much more frequent.
It is the mercy that meets you when you snapped at someone you love. It is the second chance you did not ask for. It is the strength to do an unremarkable day well when nobody is watching and nothing feels significant.
Ordinary grace is easy to miss because it does not announce itself. Start naming it and you notice how often it has been there. That noticing is its own kind of worship.
